Chelsea set for Villa in FA Cup semis

Chelsea and Aston Villa will face off in the semi-finals of this season's FA Cup competition.

The defending cup champions got through to the final four after defeating Stoke City 2-0 and Villa escaped a scare when they went down 2-0 to Championship outfit Reading before reeling them in and eventually winning 4-2.

It sets up a mouthwatering clash where the Blues will meet Villa who already have cup experience at Wembley this season - the Carling Cup final loss to Manchester United last week.

Chelsea assistant boss Ray Wilkins said: "When you get to this stage of the competition the opposition is always going to be tough, and Aston Villa will be a tough game for us.

"They beat us earlier on (in the season) at Villa Park but that was quite a while ago. The problems they gave us were from set plays but we must commend our guys on how they dealt with that situation against a very strong Stoke side."
