Chelsea set to make £2.7m off Salah's Liverpool move

Chelsea are set to make £2.7m from Mohamed Salah's transfer from AS Roma to Liverpool.

The Egyptian looks set to join the Reds in a club-record £39m deal in the coming days. According to The Times, the Blues included a sell-on clause in the deal with Roma when the player joined the Italian club from Chelsea in 2016.

The Blues stand to earn 10% of whatever profit Roma makes on the player, and that means that they would pocket a neat amount of £2.7m.

The 25-year-old is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Merseyside club with an option for an additional year.
