Chelsea are seriously considering Jack Butland as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois.

The Stoke City goalkeeper is current on holiday following the World Cup, where he served as a backup for England teammate Jordan Pickford.

It is believed the 25-year-old wants to join a top-six Premier League club and he may have his opportunity with the Stamford Bridge outfit, who beginning to plan for life without Courtois.

The Belgian, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, is being linked with Real Madrid.

Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel is also on Chelsea's shortlist to replace Courtois.
