Gonzalo Higuain's protracted move to Arsenal has taken a new twist - with the player himself revealing that Chelsea want him, reports talkSPORT. The Real Madrid striker has been linked with a transfer to the Emirates throughout the summer, but a deal looks to be as far away as ever.

Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that Chelsea have made an offer to Madrid and, although no figures have been released, it is thought the La Liga giants are looking for a fee of around €40m.

Higuain has apparently close friends: "Mourinho wants me there."
