Chelsea are stepping up their bid for Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon.
Marca says Chelsea scouts watched Rondon play for Venezuela against Chile at the weekend.
The 22-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 37 La Liga games last season, is valued at £20million and the London club see him as a replacement for Didier Drogba.
It is claimed that Chelsea, who are still chasing Porto striker Hulk, rate Rondon at closer to the £10m mark.
