Dutch scouting legend Piet de Visser has slammed the state of his nation's football development structure.
The Chelsea adviser fears Dutch players are losing ground in comparison to their Euripoean peers.
"How many players from the Oranje are playing abroad? And how many of them are in the team? Even Memphis Depay was played out of the team at Olympique Lyon last week by a seventeen-year-old. That says everything," said De Visser.
"Take players like Kevin Strootman or (Gini) Wijnaldum, who play with the stars of the sky at AS Roma and Liverpool, but do not show anything with the Oranje.
"How does that happen? Simple. At their clubs they have ten good players around them. To do it themselves, they can not."
