Chelsea are stepping up their interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea have followed Bailey since he first arrived in Belgium from Jamaica as a 15-year-old with his adoptive father and guardian Craig Butler.
He moved to Bayer Leverkusen from Genk last summer for an initial £12.75million and has settled in quickly, scoring four goals and making a further four assists.
Bailey impressed again as Leverkusen beat Stuttgart 2-0 on Friday and Chelsea are keen to test the Bundesliga side's resolve.
Chelsea are understood to have held a meeting regarding Bailey on Friday as they try to ascertain what it would take to sign him.
