Chelsea's Terry: We are ready to play well

Chelsea captain John Terry insists the players have put a tough week behind them and are ready to return to form against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues dropped their first game of the season last weekend, losing 3-1 to Wigan in the league and then battled for a narrow 1-0 win over Cypriot outfit Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Terry says this weekend will bring out the best in the Chelsea players and he expects a forward showing.

"The confidence wasn't knocked at Wigan - you can't afford not to believe in yourselves or your teammates," Terry said.

"It was important that we realised we went wrong at Wigan and that we responded well.

"You don't get much time to think about it with the games coming thick and fast, and we did a good job here (in Cyprus).

"We have to be better against Liverpool. They are a very good side who had a tough result (against Fiorentina).

"They will be up for it and they are a big club, so we will have to respond again when we play them."
