Chelsea captain John Terry was proud to be named in the World XI yesterday.

He was also selected in the World XI with, among players from the Barclays Premier League, John Terry, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

"There is no higher accolade than to be voted for by your fellow professionals and peers," Terry said. "These are players who we are playing against week in, week out and getting recognition from them makes us all proud."
