Chelsea midfielder Ramires said he just needed some time to settle before really adapting to the English game.
The 23-year old Brazilian is starting to show the Premier League what he is capable of with a string of consistent performances and ahs revealed that it would always be the case for a player coming from his homeland into a new environment.
"We knew it would take time to adapt when I arrived," Ramires said in the Daily Mail.
"That was no surprise. No Brazilian escapes it when he comes to England.
"(Liverpool midfielder) Lucas has also lived through what I am experiencing and now his work is being recognised. "I think this period went even quicker for me."
And the former Benfica man said it was great to be playing good football alongside teammate David Luiz who followed him to Stamford Bridge.
"We shared great moments in Portugal and I am sure there will be several more here in England," he added.
"And who knows if we will be together for a long time with the national team too."
