Stoke City's Charlie Adam is well aware that Jose Mourinho will do anything he can to lead Chelsea to victory.

The Potters meet the Premier League leaders at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and midfielder Adam knows it will be a very difficult test for he and his teammates such is the desire for Mourinho to taste success.

"Mourinho knows the way," he said.

"He is a clever manager. He knows how to win games - they showed that against Hull. They get that third goal from 2-2 then they shut up shop.

"That is the difference. He wants to win and he will win ugly if he has to."
