Jose Mourinho felt Andre Schurrle performed well in Chelsea's 3-1 Champions League win over Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday night.
The German attacker scored his side's second goal in the Stamford Bridge triumph and his showing was welcomed by his manager who does believe the former Bayer Leverkusen ace still needs to adjust to top flight English football.
"He is in my plans. We had a problem when he went to the national team the last time and he came back very, very ill and was in trouble for quite a long time," Mourinho told Sky Sports 1 HD of the 24-year old who has scored three goals in nine starts this season.
"Today he had 75 minutes to improve his form, he is a player who needs to adapt better to the Premier League but is also a player that in three shots usually scores a goal. That's an important quality."
Chelsea ended up finishing top of the Group G table with 14 points from their six matches, six ahead of second-placed Schalke.
