Jose Mourinho wants Fernando Torres to stay at Chelsea so he can get the best out of the striker.
The Spaniard has not lived up to the lofty heights he set at Liverpool since moving to Stamford Bridge but incoming boss Mourinho feels he can get a lot more out of the former Atletico Madrid ace.
"Fernando is more than happy to stay and work hard. If the best for all of us is for Fernando to stay, let's help him and try and get the best out of him," said Mourinho.
Since crossing from Anfield in January 2011, Torres has scored 15 goals in 82 Premier League appearances and a further 19 from 49 outings in cups and in Europe.
