Juan Mata has revealed he called former Valencia teammate David Silva to ask him if he would put a brake on league leaders Manchester City.
The Chelsea winger believes that Silva's City are still the title favourites and admits to telling his fellow Spaniard, who sits 11 points clear of Mata's Blues, that they can take it easy for a while to let the Londoners catch up.
"It's clear however that Manchester City and Manchester United are the favourites to win the Premier League.
"I phoned David Silva to tell him to make City put on the brakes a bit but they are not doing so!""I'm very happy in England and it's surprising how easily I've adapted as changing team is never easy," he said.
