Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata will complete his mooted transfer to Manchester United on Friday.
The 25-year old Spain international is set to join the reigning Premier League champions for a club-record £37million after undergoing a medical in a Manchester hospital.
Mata, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Valencia in 2011, has already informed his Chelsea teammates of his decision to join United and will finalise the move prior to the weekend.
The former Real Madrid youth will become United's most expensive player, surpassing the £30.75m the Red Devils paid Tottenham for Dimitar Berbatov (now with Fulham) in 2008.
