Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard has penned a new deal but unfortunately for Blues fans it is not a contract extension.
The 34-year old England midfielder, who comes out of contract with Chelsea in the summer, has endorsed a series of books for children aged five and over that he will write.
Entitled 'Frankie's Magic Football', the series will follow the adventures of young boy Frankie, his dog and his friends.
"I first had the idea of Frankie and his Magic Football when reading stories to my own children.," Lampard said.
"Sport and reading are two essentials for us at home, so I decided to make up my own football stories and adventures.
"The characters are loosely based on friends and team mates I've played with over the years. I am delighted that (publishers) Little Brown liked the stories as much as my children and will be publishing the Frankie's Magic Football series."
