Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes England's international friendly with Hungary on Wednesday is not a very good idea.
The match comes just three days before the new English Premier League season kicks off and Lampard cannot work out why it has been scheduled when it is.
"It's obviously not an ideal situation," he said.
"I've only been back in pre-season training for a week and a half and a lot of clubs are having the same problems with their World Cup players.
"All the teams want to get players fit for the start of the season.
"Right now I'm just excited to be back at Chelsea."
