Serbia captain Branislav Ivanovic has played down suggestions that his nation does not respect Scotland.
The Chelsea defender and his Serbian teammates take on the Scots at Hampden Park in their opening Group A 2014 World Cup qualifier on Saturday but he insists that they are not taking the game lightly.
Recent quotes from Ivanovic suggested that he feels Craig Levein's side can only play a long-ball aerial type of game but he has hit back at that, saying his quotes were mistranslated.
"They become very disoriented when the ball is consistently played on the ground," were Ivanovic's apparent quotes but he moved quickly to clear that up by saying: "I think this is the media war started. What you have seen in your media, I think it was mistakes in the translation. We are full of respect for your national team."
