Chelsea have loaned Michael Essien to Real Madrid.
The Ghanaian midfielder has joined the Spanish champions on a season-long loan, linking up with Jose Mourinho who signed him to Stamford Bridge back in 2005.
Essien has seemingly fell out of favour with Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo since he took over from Andre Villas-Boas and will now ply his trade in the Spanish La Liga for the 2013/131 campaign.
