Didier Drogba today pulled out of the Ivory Coast squad with Chelsea looking to monitor ahead of the weekend.
The veteran striker was forced off with a knee injury late in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Bolton after heading home the second goal and will not take part in his nation's friendly with Guinea on Wednesday.
Drogba has been made unavailable for international football this week will now concentrate on getting back to full fitness for Saturday's trip to West Bromwich Albion.
