Chelsea's Drogba intent on turning around bad Champions League memories

Didier Drogba is sure not to revisit the feelings he had when he was sent off in the 2008 Champions League final.

The Chelsea striker received a red card for slapping Nemanja Vidic in the face when the Blues lost to Manchester United on penalties in Moscow and he is not about to get himself into a similar situation against Bayern Munich in this season's decider next month.

"I think everybody deserves a second chance," he told the Times of India.

"I don't know if it's mine, but I think I've paid what I had to, by not winning the final, and a lot of criticism after that.

"But that's football, and I understand that. It just helped me grow up a little bit more."
