Chelsea midfielder Deco has stated that he is not heading to Brazil simply to play out his career.

It is extremely likely that the Brazilian-born Portugal international will sign with Fluminese after the World Cup but he wants to make it clear that he is not going there to end his playing time in his original homeland.

The 32-year old also said that a deal has not yet been done.

"There's a strong possibility (of a move to Fluminense) but at the moment I can't confirm anything because I have a contract with Chelsea," Deco said.

"I'm only going to decide after the World Cup.< p> "I'm not coming (to Brazil) to end my career. I'm coming to play. I believe I have a few more good years to play at a high level."
