Alexandro Craninx Joostens has revealed that Thibaut Courtois tried to get him to join Atletico Madrid.
The talented 19-year old goalkeeper recently signed a senior contract with Real Madrid but admits that Chelsea ace Courtois urged him to make the move to crosstown rivals Atletico after he experienced a successful three-year loan spell at the Vicente Calderon.
"I found it very special that he called me," Courtois' fellow Belgian gloveman told Het Nieuwsblad.
"But I had already made up my mind because by then I had signed a contract with Real Madrid."
