Reports emanating from Spain suggests that Real Madrid are keen on Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole.

Spanish daily sports newspaper Marca believes that:" The Englishman from Chelsea is the player for the job. He is one of the best players in the world and wants to come to Spain," to boost Real's backline for next season.

It is believed that Cole is at the top of their hitlist and the paper also suggested that the 29-year old is 'ready to listen to offers'.

Other players Real Madrid are earmarking for the role are Manchester United's Patrice Evra and Lazio's Aleksander Kolarov.
