Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech has admitted to the error that handed Greece a lifeline during the second half of yesterday's Euro2012 clash.
The Chelsea goalkeeper fumbled Georgios Samara's low cross in the 53rd minute to see Thoefanis Gekas slot home from close range, making it 2-1 after the Czechs' brilliant start.
Luckily for Cech, his side managed to snuff out any other forwards advances from the Greeks but nevertheless he did insist that the howler was all his fault and that of defender Tomas Sivok who appeared to get in his way.
"I did not have to go for the ball so fast. Moreover, Tomas did everything right - he stopped when I shouted. It is my mistake, I did not resolve it correctly.""Of course. Who else's mistake should it be?" he told idnes.cz.
