Chelsea recruit Yossi Benayoun netted a hat-trick as Israel opened their Euro2012 qualification campaign with a 3-1 win over Malta.
Benayoun kicked off proceedings in the 7th minute before Malta answered just over half an hour later through Jamie Pace.
But Israel dominated from then on and Benayoun grabbed a second from the penalty spot in the 65th minute before finishing off the contest 15 minutes from time with a header.
