Chelsea's AVB does not agree with Ancelotti's Drogba/Torres stance

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas says he does not see eye-to-eye with former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti regarding his ideas on the Didier Drogba/Fernando Torres partnership.

The Italian tactician, who has recently taken the reins at Paris Saint-Germain, believes that £50million signing Torres will not be able to flourish whilst Drogba is still at Stamford Bridge but Villas-Boas does not agree.

"For me, it's not the case," he said.

"Fernando has been with us a year and is in a great moment of form and looking sharp.

"It's nothing to do with one being present and the other one not," he added. "In a club of our dimension, we have top competition.

"The people you compete with are as good or better than you and you have to compete to reach the starting XI.

"It's the same with Barcelona and Real Madrid. You compete with the best within the group."
