Chelsea have confirmed a deal for Nicolas Anelka to join Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua.
The 32-year old Frenchman has been heavily linked with the Chinese Super League club in recent weeks and now the Blues have stated that a deal has been agreed upon.
"Chelsea Football Club and Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua have agreed terms for the permanent transfer of Nicolas Anelka in the January transfer window," read a statement on the club's official website.
Anelka put in a transfer request earlier this month and will now move to Shanghai in the New Year.
