Chelsea's Abraham included in England U21 despite Nigeria controversy

Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham has been included in England U21 squad, despite the recent reports that he is considering a switch to Nigeria.

Abraham, who is currently on loan at Swansea, qualifies for Nigeria through his father, and last week reports suggested that Nigeria Football Federation are hopeful of luring him to the Super Eagles.

At the time, Abraham had said: "I can confirm I met the President of the NFF after our last game against Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday given he is a friend of my father.

"However, any suggestion that I have made a decision to change my international representation is incorrect and wide of the mark.

"I have informed the FA that I remain available for selection for England."

Aidy Boothroyd's U21 side are set to play Scotland and Andorra in Euro 2019 qualifiers next month.
