Pedro and Olivier Giroud also scored in the 4-0 win.

"It was a great game, not only by me but the whole team," Willian said. "We played really well from the beginning. To be honest, we expected a difficult game but it became easy because of the way we played. We tried to score goals, create chances and we did a great job.

"I think after a difficult moment we're back to winning games and when you win the confidence goes high. Now we have to carry on."

Having been aided by the post for the second of his two goals, Willian was denied a first Chelsea hat-trick right at the death when his low drive struck the base of the woodwork.

"It was almost there, I tried to score one more goal but the most important thing was the win,' he said. 'I was unlucky but I hope there are more goals to come in the next match."
