Chelsea remain significantly interested in Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Blues still see the Boro youngster as the perfect replacement for captain John Terry.
Varying reports suggest that Terry, 36, will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and make a big-money move to the Chinese Super League.
In a bid to offset that expected loss, Antonio Conte's Chelsea are continuing to monitor 23-year-old centre-back Gibson who has played every minute of the Premier League season for Aitor Karanka.
Chelsea have already had a previous offer rejected by the Teessiders and would need to come up with at least £30million for Boro to even consider a potential sale.
It is understood that the Riverside Stadium outfit will not sell Gibson this month but may consider a summer deal if they receive a suitable bid.
