Chelsea have refused to comment on reports they will offer Frank Lampard a contract extension at Stamford Bridge. The 34-year-old's deal in the capital expires in the summer, but a day after Lampard scored England's winner in the 2-1 win over Brazil, reports suggest the Blues are set to open talks over a new contract.
When asked about the situation, the club's Head of Communications Steve Atkins told Sky Sports News: "Chelsea does not comment on speculation about players or their contracts."
