Controcampo says Milan are willing to upgrade Kaka's contract to over £6 million-a-year, but the midfielder's minders are putting off penning the deal until after he is crowned Ballon d'Or winner next month.
Real Madrid are willing to offer Kaka £8 million-a-year, while money is no object for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. The Brazilian also knows he enjoys better tax benefits in Spain and England, compared to Italy.
Only last week, Kaka admitted he could be forced out of Italy due the increasing violence occurring at Serie A stadiums.
The midfielder is currently on £4.25 million-a-year through to 2011.
