Chelsea are ready to make AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar their record signing next month.

Lemar is prepared to leave Monaco after turning down deadline day offers in August from Liverpool and Arsenal.

However, L'Equipe says Chelsea are now making their move and willing to spend big to convince ASM to sell.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to go to €90m to land Lemar, who attracted offers of €70m and €100m from Liverpool and Arsenal respectively in August.

Lemar's former ASM teammate Tiemoue Bakayoko moved to Chelsea last summer and could now be tempted to follow him to London in January.
