Chelsea ready to go English to replace Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea are ready to go English to find a replacement for Thibaut Courtois.

The Sun says Blues chiefs are checking out Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland in case Real Madrid get serious about snapping up contract rebel Courtois.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to keep the Belgian for the last year of his contract unless he gets a stunning offer.

But his staff are already digging into the chances of landing Pickford, 24, from Everton or the cheaper Butland at relegated Stoke.

Pickford's stock has never been higher after his World Cup heroics and he would cost around £60million - expensive for a keeper, but a certain solution.

Butland, 25, may move for closer to £20m and Chelsea are keeping their interest in him warm.
