Chelsea are ready to snap up West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker.
West Ham will let Parker return to Stamford Bridge just to get his £65,000-a-week wages off the accounts sheet. Hammers co-owner David Sullivan insists there have been no offers for the England star since the club were relegated in May.
He said: "It has been mooted we'll loan Scott out for the season for a substantial fee and, when we get promotion, he comes back to us.
"That sort of deal would appeal to us, because we love Scott."
The Sun says Chelsea are ready to make their move and are willing to offer a £1.5m loan fee and pay his wages for a year.
