Chelsea pressing for Reading keeper McCarthy

Chelsea are pushing to land Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

The Sun says the Royals ace, 23, is out for the season following a shoulder operation.

Chelsea were linked with Jack Butland and Asmir Begovic last month.
