Chelsea to ponder Oscar or Hazard sale to fund Costa, Mandzukic

Reports suggest that Chelsea may need to offload one of its young guns in order to fund the purchase of a new striker.

The Mirror is reporting that Oscar or Eden Hazard may need to be sacrificed in the summer transfer window if the Blues want to bring in Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa or Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic.

With UEFA's Financial Fair Play set to sanction clubs breaching the break-even rules as early as May this year, Chelsea will need to be careful about how much they spend on a new striker at the end of the season.

This could force them to ponder the sale of Brazilian midfielder Oscar who is being linked with Paris Saint-Germain, as is Belgian winger Hazard.

PSG will reportedly spend as much as £40million on Hazard while Oscar is valued on the transfer market at around £28m.

Furthermore, Mourinho may also consider offloading Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba to make room for both the aforementioned strikers.
