Chelsea players were delighted to have Didier Drogba back for Tuesday's Champions League victory over FC Cluj.

Drogba came off the bench to net the winner and Salomon Kalou, scorer of the first goal in the 2-1 win, said: "Didier is a vital player for us, so it is important we keep him fit."

Midfielder Deco added: "We need Didier. He is a great player and now he has to be strong and play with confidence."

Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech also said: "We can use Didier in a different way as well. We could use the long ball more - and even though teams close the space, his physical strength can make a difference."
