Ricardo Carvalho has warned new Chelsea coach Avram Grant he has big boots to fill.

Carvalho said: "It is not easy being a manager, particularly at Chelsea. Mourinho set a very high standard by winning the league twice and his own success was a handicap for him in the end.

"It is very difficult to win titles every year but even though he has gone he is the best coach in the world. I don't know much about Grant. But he will need a lot of luck."

Striker Didier Drogba added: "I don't understand Mourinho's departure at all. In the dressing room people are annoyed about it."
