Chelsea are preparing a bumper contract offer for wantaway Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

The Mirror says Chelsea are offer the defender a whopping £150,000-a-week.

Alderweireld has a £25m release clause in his contract which must be activated at least 14 days before the end of the transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in taking the defender to Ligue 1.

But it is thought Chelsea lead the race for his signature. The west London outfit will still reportedly make a move for Alderweireld, regardless of whether Antonio Conte is in charge next season.
