Chelsea are plotting a summer move for Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

The Blues are eyeing McCarthy, currently sidelined after shoulder surgery, as they consider shaking up their goalkeeping department, says the Daily Star.

Newcastle United and Liverpool are also monitoring McCarthy, 23, who was on the verge of an England call-up before getting injured in November.
