Chelsea are ready to launch a massive bid for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain. The Sun says they are willing to make a £35million summer swoop for Higuain.

Chelsea see the Argentina striker as a replacement for Didier Drogba, who is set to quit this summer.

A top Chelsea source revealed: "Higuain is top of the shopping list.

"He has a phenomenal goalscoring record for Real and for Argentina but he helps make lots of goals too.

"He would be perfect for us, the sort of player who would thrive in the Premier League."
