Chelsea pair Ferreira, Cech welcome Scolari appointment

Chelsea players Paulo Ferreira and Petr Cech have welcomed the appointment of Phil Scolari as new manager.

Ferreira told BBC Sport: "I think Scolari is a good manager and he can do a good job there and it will be good for the club."

Cech is relishing the chance to work with Scolari at Stamford Bridge - and that the Brazilian can bring his magic winning touch to the club.

The Czech Republic international, also on Euro 2008 duty and part of the team beaten 3-1 by Portugal, said: "He is a manager with great charisma, great experience, great results. I look forward to working with him."
