Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to strengthen their ties with Vitesse Arnhem.
The Daily Mail says Vitesse are in sponsorship negotiations with Truphone, a company part-owned by Abramovich, in a deal which would strengthen links between Chelsea and the Dutch club and attract interest from UEFA.
Abramovich paid £70million for a 23.3 per cent share in the international mobile phone network last year, his biggest investment in a British-based company since he bought Chelsea in 2003. It reunited him with friend and former business partner Alexander Abramov, who owns 60 per cent of Truphone.
Chelsea have enjoyed a close relationship with Vitesse since 2010, with seven players from the London club moving on loan to Arnhem this season alone, including midfielder Christian Atsu, who has been voted the club's Player of the Year.
