Chelsea are getting serious about their pursuit of Real Madrid star Kaka. The Telegraph says the 28 year-old is a world superstar but, partly through injury, he has had a miserable time at Real Madrid, who he joined after shunning Manchester City.
It means the Brazilian might be available at a comparatively low price, £25million has been mooted, especially if Chelsea were willing to add the makeweight of Didier Drogba, who appears set to leave this summer despite protestations that he wants to stay. His age, 33 yesterday, counts against him, however.
The move is gaining momentum, though.
"There is a strong chance it will happen," one senior source said yesterday.
