Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has moved to assure Fernando Torres he has a big future at Stamford Bridge.
The Mirror says Abramovich has given Torres a personal assurance over his Chelsea future.
It is believed Torres' agents asked for a renegotiation of his contract if Chelsea won the Champions League but it remains to be seen whether they will push for a pay rise.
But what is for sure is that Chelsea's hierarchy see Torres at the club next season even though they are set to go on a spending spree this summer.
It is understood that Abramovich spoke to Torres during the celebrations and insisted that the club still had faith in him and had invested too much money just to give up on him now.
