Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has spent the weekend weighing up whether to sign West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker.
The Mirror says Abramovich will make the final decision on whether or not to sign Parker next week.
Chelsea made an informal enquiry about Parker on Thursday regarding a loan or permanent deal.
But the England midfield ace has already informed the Hammers he has no wish to go out on loan, which would have been the preferred option for the Championship club.
Now it's up to Blues owner Abramovich whether or not to sanction a move.
Aston Villa are watching the situation but claims they have made a £7m bid have been dismissed.
The fee the Hammers are demanding to allow Parker to be sold or go out on loan has cooled interest in him.
