Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to make an opening bid for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic.

Dortmund are prepared to sell the USA international this month after the collapse of new contract talks. His current deal runs to 2020.

Don Balon says Abramovich will make an opening offer of €73m for Pulisic this week.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also keen, but both have dithered in following up their initial enquiries, while Abramovich has spoken to BVB officials just this past weekend.

And now Dortmund are expecting an offer from Chelsea to soon be lodged after informing the Russian billionaire they're prepared to do business.
