Roman Abramovich is reportedly set to throw some big money at Tottenham winger Gareth Bale and Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas. Recent reports suggest that the Chelsea owner is keen to bring in the London-based duo this summer as he chases an elusive Champions League title.
Spurs star Bale has been widely tipped to depart White Hart Lane this summer with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the picture although Tottenham expect the Welshman to stay.
In Fabregas' case, the Spaniard is continuously linked with former club Barcelona but the fact that he has remained with the Gunners through all the transfer speculation surrounding him suggests a move to London rivals Chelsea is unlikely.
Nonetheless, the rumours are out there that Russian billionaire Abramovich is keen to unleash another new lease of life on the Blues with dual offers of £40million for Bale and Fabregas despite the fact he recently purchased Fernando Torres and David Luiz for £72million.
